We are so glad to welcome the Christian County Board of Education to the Diabetes Prevention Program. This is a wonderful opportunity for employees at risk of developing diabetes to learn healthy lifestyle skills that can prevent the development of the disease. The Diabetes Prevention Program is currently being provided free of charge to all state employees with the Kentucky Employee Health Plan. The program includes 16 weekly core sessions and an additional 6 months of follow up support. Weekly meetings include weigh ins, B/P checks and an education component covering material on healthy eating, exercise, stress management and many other topics. There is an informational program scheduled for Tuesday May 5th from 4-5 pm at the Diabetes Resource Center at 530 Noel Avenue, Hopkinsville Ky.
